On this date in 1934


On this date in 1934, Joe Dimaggio's contract was sold by the San Francisco Seals to the New York Yankees for $25,000. I am not a big baseball fan, and I have to admit, most of my knowledge of him comes from the trivia associated with his marriage to Marilyn Monroe but, in order to give respect to a man that was talented enough athlete to be inducted into the national baseball hall of fame, I will post his major achievments as I found them on Wikipedia
