Book 3 review- Honesty

4.0 out of 5 stars fantasy adventure with alot of heart, March 9, 2012
By jewel fan - See all my reviewsThis review is from: The Sara Chronicles: Book Three-The Return (Paperback)
In "The Return" book three in The Sara Chronicles by L. Hughes we are brought back to Sara as she struggles with trying to awake from her four year long sleep brought on by her battle with Braccus.Braccus himself did not put her in this sleep ,but her mentor Ollie did so to spare her the pain and suffering caused by Braccus's invasion of Sara's mind.Alot has changed in the past four years including herself and her friends. Now not only does Sara have to deal with her new powers and Braccus still trying to gain control of the worlds but also with the fact that she is now a young woman who has missed the past four years of her life.

The timeless battle between light and darkness constantly calls to me in the story.I find a lot of biblical meanings behind it myself although I am not sure whether that was intended or not.But it is definitely one of the things that draws me to it.

This is another amazing book in this enthralling series by L. Hughes. The first part of the book lags a bit while Sara is still struggling to wake up and as we are caught up on her friends and some past events. But as soon as Sara awakes the story kicks right into gear and you won't be sorry that you pushed through.I love that we get to know our characters a bit more in this book while they each deal with new challenges in their own ways,we really see them fill out. With equal parts of action, adventure, friendship and growing up this book is sure to appeal to every audience whether young or just young at heart.I would highly recommend this book and the complete Sara Chronicles series to anyone and everyone who loves a great fantasy and adventure story with alot of heart.
