Book 3 review

4.0 out of 5 stars A really solid addition to the series, January 17, 2012

(REAL NAME) This review is from: The Sara Chronicles: Book Three-The Return (Paperback)
In Book 3: The Return, the author picks up where she left off, with Sara the main character comatose via a sleeping spell. The children are becoming much more proficient in their powers but Braccus and his forces are not sitting idly by, they are counter-attacking with a vengeance and it looks like things will be getting a lot worse before they will get better.
What is compelling about this series is how each individual faces and overcomes their challenges. The author does a good job having you see events through each character's eyes and the prism of their personalities. Since the personalities of each of them are very different they face each challenge very differently, some much better than others. I think this book would inspire teenage readers since although the characters overcome many obstacles they do so in a realistic fashion , often imperfectly but in a way readers can relate to and in a way that makes them good role models. There is still plenty of action in this book but there is also a lot of development to each of the characters themselves.
