On this date in 1919 syrup killed people

Strange but true fact for the day. On this date in 1919 in Boston, Mass. Due to unseasonably warm conditions a tank holding 14,000 tons of molasses suddenly burst open and flooded the streets knocking down buildings, animals and people. As a result of the gooey tsunami 21 people died and 150 others were injured. an you even imagine that, Mrs. Butterworth was deadly that day. And clean up and rescue must have been a nightmare.
