On this date in 1966, this rather spooky looking man, tortured and killed 8 student nurses in Illinois. There was one survivor who later identified him as the killer and he was convicted and given the death sentence which was later changed to life in prison. He died at the age of 49 of a heart attack, it was later found that he had some brain abnormalities that had never seen before, specifically in the areas of temperment and self control. Interesting, but gruesome fact for the day.
